We teamed with Ismail Hamawy on a collection inspired by local skate culture, and its never ending pursuit of freedom to skate and evolve. We went down and a short video with Faris Rashwan, the entire process was a challenge. We walked around endlessly looking for a spot that is skate-able, long enough for someone not to tell us “ممنوع“ or “انتو تبع مين“ or any variation of the two. Ironically, the starting point for the design process started with Ismail providing us with the quote “انتو تبع مين“, to actually go down and see/hear that in person was on point.
